The new (relocated) Big Lots in Glassboro on 47 is opening October 1st! This is the first of three stores for the former K-Mart building. Ross appears to be next in line, and LIDL is following after. There is also a Chase Bank and Chipotle coming. In sad news, the Save-A-Lot Grocery up the road a short bit, closes on 9/30/20
It's had many names over the decades but the Glassboro Bowling Alley on Delsea Drive (across from the Monarch Diner) started coming down this week. Equipment is on site, and as of Sunday they had removed the back wall exposing the back of the bowling pin machines. The purchaser is Matt Blatt dealerships, who currently have a dealership directly next to the bowling alley and they are looking to expand their lot space.
Dawn to Dusk Cafe is a new breakfast and lunch eatery in the heart of Rowan's main street boulevard in Glassboro, and yesterday they celebrated their Grand Opening. 42Freeway stopped in a few weeks ago with the family and had lunch. It's a bright and cheery Southwestern-esque breakfast and lunch cafe, which smartly fills a gap in this University centered boulevard.
Primitive Axe hatchet throwing experience is expanding to the Gloucester Premium Outlets from their original Glassboro location. This could be a devastating combo of "Let's go throw some axes and then move over to Dave and Buster's for a beer and arcade games!"
Axe and Arrow Microbrewery opens THIS WEEKEND APRIL 6th at the booming Rowan Boulevard in Glassboro! A beautiful new brewery in the heart of the Glassboro Town Center plaza! Glassboro is on fire right now with many new and exciting venues!
Bonesaw Brewing is in the running to be named USA Today's Best New Brewery!! 42Freeway readers can help vote for them... and "right a wrong" for me. You see, I was probably the first media outlet to get a guided pre-opening tour by Rich D back in May 2018, and for a variety of stupid reasons I never posted. Until now. Please vote!
