GOLFTEC is the world leader in golf-instruction with over 200 locations, and they are coming to Washington Township’s “Acme” shopping center on Egg Harbor Road.
GOLFTEC has over 200 locations in six countries, and employs over 700 coaches who use advanced computer technology, indoor putting greens and more… leading to over 10 million golf lessons and a 96% success rate!
The location in the Washington Center Shoppes is near the center of the shopping center, next to Taylor’s Salon and close to Philly Grill & Pizza.
This center has had an awesome last few years signing on new tenants, with the opening of Jersey Mike’s, Dickey’s BBQ, First Watch and Chipotle in the last 2 years.
In South Jersey they have a location in Moorestown/Maple Shade on Lenola Road close to the Moorestown Mall.

GOLFTEC – Golf Instruction
GOLFTEC was founded in Denver Colorado back in 1995 when personal computers were just beginning to become more commonplace in the American lifestyle.
GOLFTEC was the first to see the connection between using video technology and other sensors, paired with the computer… to measure current swing dynamics, identify areas of improvement, and then use them as coaching points.
Almost 30 years later they still base their instruction on data-driven information gathered from their advanced golf technology.
Not only do they capture your swing they could play it back and show you exactly where things need to be improved, from how you turn your shoulder, the tilt of your body, and even the turn of your hips.
And all of the information captured in self study instruction are available in your hand, via their mobile application.
Each of the new GOLFTEC centers also include indoor putting greens, where instructors can give you guidance on how they read the greens and apply the appropriate power to your shot.
Additionally GOLFTEC coaches can take you outside to a local course or driving range so that you can learn and apply your knowledge directly in a core setting (although I don’t know the details for how this works at the Washington Township location)
To get started they begin with a 60 minute swing evaluation session, which captures all of the details and mechanics of your swing.
The computer detects all of your body joints and pivot points so that it can identify exactly where things are going right… and more typically where things are going wrong!
From there the coach will suggest a Lesson plan for you which will include both short-term lessons and then also lessons over the next 3-6 or twelve months
And when it’s time to upgrade your clubs, GOLFTEC offers a 60 minute computerized club fitting process called TECFIT.
I visited the upcoming Washington Township location yesterday and they are very early in the construction phase. While they are listed on the GOLFTEC website, there isn’t an estimated opening date.
