Construction has started on the realigning of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road in Washington Township, where it connects to Egg Harbor Road. The new connection point will be further away from the center of the main 5-points intersection and include a new TRAFFIC SIGNAL, which should provide for better traffic flow in and out of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road. This change will also make room for a to-be-developed Super Wawa which will be sitting in a new, larger wedge of the 5-points intersection… but positioned facing Egg Harbor Road. Most of this land is currently the County Conservation (Mulch) business.

Dollar Tree has been quietly putting together another Turnersville Dollar Tree store, this one located in the Cross Keys Commons shopping center, across the parking lot from Walmart. We drove by on Sunday and a sign on the wall said “Opening in 4 days”… which if accurate means they will be opening this Thursday (April 16th).
Michaels Crafts will be taking over the closed AC Moore location in Washington Township! The banner hanging on the front of the building makes it very clear.
Last Sunday, Mark from 42Freeway sat in on the Small Bites Radio Podcast! Mark sat in for the entire hour long show but the last 10 minutes are so were dedicated to updates on restaurant stories in the 42Freeway area.
Washington Township residents Mikki and Mike McIntyre have created the most incredible place for your pet… the Fetch Pet Resort on Delsea Drive in Sewell/Washington Township! And using the word “Resort” is not an overstatement… when my wife and I toured the facility last week we were jealous ’cause we wanted to stay there! And on Saturday February 8th is there grand opening celebration from 11am to 3pm! Facebook event for the Grand Opening!
Back in November 2019, Washington Township approved the development of a new Super Wawa at the 5 Points intersection. The plans also include a second building for an undisclosed fast food restaurant. This plan will also require the re-positioning of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road
