Back in November 2019, Washington Township approved the development of a new Super Wawa at the 5 Points intersection. The plans also include a second building for an undisclosed fast food restaurant. This plan will also require the re-positioning of Blackwood-Barnsboro Road

The GameStop Store located in the “Acme” Shopping Center on Egg Harbor Road (Washington Township) closed last week, ahead of the the development of Chipotle and First Watch Daytime Cafe. GameStop was located in the stand alone building at the front center of the parking lot. At this time we could not identify any timeline for the construction or opening of Chipotle and First Watch.
About 2 months ago Bed Bath & Beyond announced that they may close up to 40 stores (plus 20 other concepts), and recently we learned that the store at 141 Tuckahoe Rd in Sewell is closing. The banner hanging across the entrance makes it clear “STORE CLOSING”.
Berlin NJ based A.C. Moore is closing all stores, parent company Nicole Crafts announced today. Of the approx 145 stores, up to 40 locations will be taken over by Michaels, Deptford has both craft stores located less than 1/2 a mile from each other so it would seem one of the two Deptford craft stores will close.
