The Deptford Miller’s Ale House project has taken a big step forward, as crews have been removing the complete interior of the former Don Pablos Restaurant to make way for the Miller’s buildout. We checked things out today and when we say completely removed… we mean COMPLETELY. All that remains are the outer walls and roof. This will be as blank a slate as possible for the developers of Miller’s Ale House
It’s had many names over the decades but the Glassboro Bowling Alley on Delsea Drive (across from the Monarch Diner) started coming down this week. Equipment is on site, and as of Sunday they had removed the back wall exposing the back of the bowling pin machines. The purchaser is Matt Blatt dealerships, who currently have a dealership directly next to the bowling alley and they are looking to expand their lot space.
Last Saturday ‘Bout the Hops Brewery opened in Mt Laurel New Jersey and on Sunday night 42Freeway stopped in to visit and chat with the two owners. Like many new breweries it’s been a long ride to get the beer pouring, and they have some distinctive stories with their brewery… name, location, and how this came to be.
The GameStop Store located in the “Acme” Shopping Center on Egg Harbor Road (Washington Township) closed last week, ahead of the the development of Chipotle and First Watch Daytime Cafe. GameStop was located in the stand alone building at the front center of the parking lot. At this time we could not identify any timeline for the construction or opening of Chipotle and First Watch.
Three loooonnngg awaited stores along Berlin-Cross Keys Road opened in the last month! Royal Farms opened TWO stores with Berlin opening just days ago, and Johnson Road opening last month! The Aldi Supermarket set up shop behind the Panera Bread/Wendy’s stores at the Acme/Shop-rite intersection! Three Supermarkets at the intersection, plus Wawa and Target are close by!
