ACE Pickleball Club Voorhees is a 22,000 square foot state-of-the-art indoor climate control Pickleball facility, and they celebrate their official Grand Opening on Saturday May 11th.
I stopped in today for a tour of the facility and was genuinely impressed by the size of the space as well as the high quality build out, which includes a professional cushioned court surface made by Laykold Systems… who are the official court surface of the US Open (tennis) and other major tournaments!
ACE Pickleball Club is a newer but quickly growing pickleball franchise with over 100 awarded locations. This Voorhees location is owned by partners Eric and Ira, who are South Jersey residents and live in the communities surrounding Voorhees. I first wrote about their plans last October.
Eagle Plaza in Voorhees (Haddonfield-Berlin RD) is the new home of ACE Pickleball Club, positioned on the right side of the long shopping center in a unit that for many years was home to an Office Depot store. The indoor pickleball facility is directly next to Wine Warehouse and the newer Salons By JC.
The team behind ACE Pickleball Club has really thought of everything to make this one of the best pickleball spaces in the area.
As mentioned it all starts with a premium court surface, and the cushioned system is many layers of high-tech design which offers significant force reduction for players. Less joint impact and fatigue!
The lighting is perfectly positioned so that regardless of the time of day or season, every aspect of the court and pickleball are clearly seen… basically no shadows!
A pro shop is on hand which includes all of the latest equipment as well as refreshing drinks.
Hi-tech innovation is also in the mix as each court features the Playsite Instant Replay system which utilizes cameras positioned on the courts to capture your gameplay. At your option you can live stream your play, or have it recorded so you can review it later and learn what you need to do to improve your gameplay… or maybe have a laugh with your friends “how did you miss that shot?!”
For scheduling and finding new partners, ACE is utilizing Pickleheads scheduling technology which allows you to lock in your core time, recruit local players or discover games that are happening at the court.
A really innovative design of the space which seems to be a signature aspect of ACE Pickleball Club, is a second floor mezzanine at the front for special events and gatherings, which also offers an amazing vantage point across all of the courts!
They even added a smaller practice court which has a focus on improving your front net “kitchen” play.
I told the ACE Pickleball Club team that one fun thing I want to try is their Glow-In-The-Dark parties where the paddles and balls glow under black lights. The facility has been designed with this bonus idea in mind as there’s sufficient lighting for safe game play, but also adding that glow in the dark vibe!
Ace Pickleball Club provides a full top level pickleball experience for both public and membership players!
So yes the amazing facility is available to public non-members with fees based on single day play… but the membership option offers significant benefits including unlimited open play during your membership term, advance court reservations, social mixers and events, specialist tournaments and more.
