The Urban Air Adventure Park (Sicklerville) has opened next to Hobby Lobby on Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Gloucester Township. It seems everyone in the area knew it.. because for our Sunday visit the joint was jumping! Literally and figuratively!
In today’s kids world of iPads and Nintendo Switches, it seems parents are eager to get their kids into some fun exercised based activities!
42Freeway first brought you the story back in January 2020 but their press release announcing plans for the new location goes back to June of 2019.
This is an all new construction building within the Shoppes at Cross Keys retail development. As mentioned the building was constructed directly next to Hobby Lobby.
Plaza Azteca restaurant is directly across from the front doors, and at the front of this center are Bertucci’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, Sakura and more.
We had also posted an update tour just 3 months ago and honestly it’s amazing how fast they pulled everything together since then!
Urban Air Adventure Park
I wasn’t kidding about how busy the facility was on Sunday! Hundreds of happy kids were utilizing all of the awesome attractions, from rope climbs to trampolines.
This is a large square facility with very tall ceilings, filled with bright colors and a large variety of activities for the kids. You’ll find yourself frequently stopping for a bit to figure things out! Ha!
I connected with one of the onsite managers for a very quick chat, but with so many customers coming in, and all of the employees getting familiar with the new register system… well they were all happily very busy.
It’s easy to place Urban Air into the “trampoline place” category… and don’t get me wrong… they definitely do have plenty of trampolines in both size and variety. But they are probably less than 20% of the full space.
That large floor to ceiling yellow-green center wall section you see upon entering? Well on the other side is the rock climbing wall!
Turn right as soon as you enter, and you see a rope propelling system where kids climb up a small tower, are strapped into a rope and slowly free fall to the ground.
There is even obstacle course for your little ninja warriors, and a multi-faceted rope climbing and slide structure which looks like a modern day version of something you remember from the Jersey Boardwalk 30 years ago.
The left side of the facility supports the comfort side of the things… with several private party rooms (with glass front walls so you always feel you are in the action). Picnic tables, and of course the Urban Cafe!
One centrally located area that did not appear to be operational for the opening weekend was a fenced in Ultimate Attraction Virtual Reality area.. but there was still lots of activities to keep the kids very active!
Current pricing and a lot more details are available at the Sicklerville location website.
They offer three pricing categories depending on the features your child wants to play in, ranging from $20.99 to $33.99
