A few months ago I visited the Vineland Tang Asian Cuisine location, and share my experience here of what we should expect in Audubon once they open.
Tang Asian Cuisine says they are dedicated to serving high quality and authentic Chinese cuisine using the highest quality and fresh ingredients. They also offer in-house freshly made sushi!
Two more unique areas of the restaurant are the hibachi and ramen soup stations. You can choose from a large variety of ingredients and the Tang Asian cuisine staff we’ll create a custom entree just for you!
The hibachi ingredients include filet mignon, lobster, scallops, shrimp, chicken, fresh vegetables and more! Pick what you want from they buffet-style presentation, hand over to the chef… and watch them make your custom hibachi creation!
42Freeway first brought readers news of this new Audubon all-you-can-eat Asian buffet back in October of 2022. Since then workers have been on site to convert the former Golden Corral buffet building into Tang Asian cuisine.
I stopped at the Audubon location today and could see through the windows that the buffet stations are in place and significant interior remodeling has been completed… but workers are still on site finalizing the remodeling process.
I spoke to a representative at the Vineland location today to try and get an understanding of when we can expect Audubon to open, but he stuck with “we’re in the process of remodeling. It’s coming soon”.
The Audubon location for the upcoming Tang Asian cuisine was originally built as a Golden Corral buffet restaurant.
It is part of the Audubon Crossing shopping center on the Black Horse Pike where Walmart is located. The restaurant location though is a separate building at the corner of Merchant St…. Next to the Pep Boys Garage (and across the Pike from Barb’s Harley Davidson).
The former Golden Corral restaurant building is large at over 10,000 square feet. It originally opened in 2008 and closed in early 2015. For over 8 years the building has been unoccupied!
In my October 2022 article I do mention that other area Golden Corral restaurants had closed in New Jersey including Vineland… but at the time I wasn’t aware of the plans for a Tang Asian Cuisine also opening in that Vineland restaurant building!
Tang Asian Cuisine Vineland – A Visit
At the end of August I stopped down to Vineland NJ to cover a story about the 810 Billiards & Bowling which is being developed on Delsea Drive next to the Cumberland Mall. (I need to stop back down for an update!)
Directly across the street from the upcoming 810 Billiards is another former Golden Corral building, and Tang Asian Cuisine all-you-can-eat Asian buffet had opened there recently.
So I stopped in for lunch!
First off, as you can see from the banner hanging at the Audubon location… the prices are very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet with lunch set at $11.99 and dinner for $16.99!
Plus, because I was there near the opening of the Vineland location, they were offering Grand Opening discounted prices… I think they knocked 15% off my $12 lunch!
Coincidentally at the time they were promoting a special giveaway of a 2023 Toyota Corolla and other prizes… And I see just yesterday they gave away those prizes, with local resident Elena Mercado winning a brand new car! Congratulations! (Facebook Post)
I don’t know if the Audubon and Vineland buildings are exact duplicates of each other, but it’s clear they are both incredibly large restaurant spaces! The Vineland location of Tang Asian cuisine had multiple dining areas with plenty of seating available to support a party of any size.
Since it was a quieter mid-week lunchtime we were all directed to the one side of the building.
The all-you-can-eat-buffet was supported by a long single row of hot and cold buffet stations, as well as several stations along the back wall of the building featuring areas such as make-your-own hibachi, ramen noodle soup… and the fresh sushi area!
Overall there was a large array of different foods to choose from. Absolutely they are Chinese and Japanese food oriented, but they did stretch into some other classic buffet items including onion rings and fried chicken.
What I did not see during my lunch were two big ticket buffet items; big bowls of crab legs or a giant freshly sliced roast beef. Partly that could be how they’re able to keep the price basically half of what other buffets are charging… But that being said I only visited during lunch and maybe they change things up for dinner time.
But don’t focus on that because there really is a huge amount of things to choose from including every single classic Chinese food dish, fresh and delicious sushi, and as mentioned the hibachi which features filet mignon, seafood and other delicious proteins. And Ramen soup!
Also on the buffet were bowls of large steamed shrimp and a delicious cocktail sauce… of which I ate way too many!
I think with the Grand Opening discount my lunch was under $10, and I left completely full and happy with all of my food choices.
But even at regular prices with dinner being $16.99, it still feels like a good value. Consider that a Pat’s Cheesesteak is $15 now… and while it is a large size sandwich, for $16.99 Tang Asian Cuisine offers an all-you-can-eat full buffet with seafood, beef, chicken, sushi, ramen, hibachi…
