Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ and Philadelphia has leased an approximately 13,500 square foot building in Voorhees NJ, for a new Goodwill Center.
The building is a former Rite Aid pharmacy store located on Route 73 at Lakeside Ave. The pharmacy closed in 2023.

I reached out to a representative from Vantage who confirmed that the new tenant is Goodwill, and that the non-profit organization will be opening a Goodwill Center at the building with an estimated opening of Fall 2024.
Goodwill currently operates a much smaller donation-only location on Centennial Blvd in Voorhees.
It is expected that the new Route 73 location will be a full Goodwill Center, offering donation services as well as a store. The square footage of the former Rite-Aid is similar in size to locations in Audubon and Sewell (Washington Township) for example.
Another big win for Goodwill in opening a center at the Voorhees property is that it sits directly on Route 73, which is a highly traveled roadway offering quick access to area communities such as Evesham, The Berlins, Gibbsboro, Cherry Hill (East) , Voorhees and more. A Savers thrift store is also coming to the area, at the BJ’s Warehouse shopping center
Additionally the Route 73 corridor in this area is a smart blend of commercial and residential with the roadway lined with a variety of commercial developments which bring customers to the area (BJ’s Warehouse, Lowes, Kohl’s, Virtua Hospital) and then considerable residential developments beyond that.

Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia is a non-profit, community-based organization. It’s mission is to provide job training and career services that help prepare individuals with disabilities and disadvantages for competitive employment in the community.

Goodwill Industries funds these programs by its network of 3,300 retail thrift stores that operate as independent nonprofits. They are located in 17 countries.
The thrift store model is one where people donate goods and clothing to Goodwill, who then review the products and resell them at a profit through a variety of distribution channels.
The most well known channel is their Goodwill Stores, of which there are several strategically placed locations in South Jersey. Additionally some products that are considered more collectible may be sold through online channels

Through there recycle/reuse efforts, more than 4 billion pounds of goods found new purposes through Goodwill retail stores, and more than 17 million lbs of electronics were collected and recycled into new computer parts in a partnership with Dell Reconnect.
