A second Five Below store for Deptford will be opening on Friday October 20th, with the new one to be located at the Court at Deptford on Almonesson Rd.
As a point of reference, the Court at Deptford shopping center is also home to Hobby Lobby, Ross, Burlington, Party City, Chuck E Cheese, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and more.
The new Five Below store will be located between Ross and Shoe Carnival, in that interior corner space which is created from the Ross store extending further forward.
For Five Below, not only will this be the second store for Deptford New Jersey, both stores are actually in the immediate retail area surrounding the Deptford mall… with the existing store northeast of the Mall on Clements Bridge Road (Deptford Landing/Sam’s Club), while new store to be located on Southwest of the Mall on Almonesson Road (Hobby Lobby/Court at Deptford).

At the time I wasn’t sure if this was a relocation or a second location. It does appear now that they plan on keeping two stores for Deptford, as even the website location page says “2 Five Below Stores in Deptford”
Rally House and KPOT
This isn’t the only exciting news for the Court at Deptford shopping center on Almonesson road.
A Rally House sports apparel store is currently being built-out in the center, and a Kpot “all you can eat Korean barbecue and hot pot” restaurant is also coming.
Rally house will be located next to Hobby Lobby.
The Rally House signage is already up at the unit, and construction workers are inside working on the interior buildout. 42Freeway broke news of the plans for Deptford Rally House back in July.
The KPOT restaurant will be located at the end of that same row of stores in a location which previously was Pier One Imports.
Two large banners are hanging on the KPOT unit, announcing that they are coming soon.

Timing for the openings of Rally House and KPOT are unknown at this time. It does appear that Rally House could be open for the lucrative holiday shopping season, based on them having signage up and construction crews on site.
Five Below Deptford Almonesson
I visited the new Five Below store on Almonesson Road just yesterday.
A quick peek in the window shows that it appears to be mostly ready to go. Construction looks complete, with all the distinctive signage and displays in place.
Merchandise was filling most of the visible shelves and bins, although there were still piles of cartoons filled with product that workers are still in the process of putting away, as well as boxes needing to be removed.
Five Below is a Philadelphia “born and bred” discount retailer, focusing on kids items typically priced under $5.
They’ve recently branched out a bit into higher priced products offering a section called Five Beyond
The stores are fun and whimsical, featuring bright signage and displays. Add in the colorful product selection, it makes for a fun shopping experience.
While not a dollar store, it’s lower price point makes it one of those places where you’ll pop into “just to browse” or to pick up one thing… and likely end up walking out with a lot more items than you had intentions on buying!
Five Below ended 2022 with 1,300 locations and have a goal to open more than 3,500.
In South Jersey they’ve added stores in Berlin, Glassboro, Audubon and more. I just recently wrote about a planned store coming to Voorhees Eagle Plaza.
