A newer concept Buffalo Wild Wings Go opened in Voorhees NJ yesterday, offering a menu focused on their delicious signature wings but also including fries, chicken sandwiches and wraps… and even burgers!
With other wing takeout oriented restaurants finding big success in the USA, it seems Buffalo Wild Wings realized… “hey, we have amazing wings also! Maybe the best wings… so why don’t we open up smaller wing to-go focused restaurants”
So to be clear, there is no bar at the GO locations, which seem mostly geared towards takeout and delivery, but they do also offer several tables in the store.
To best explain… BWW-GO is in the same category as WingStop, which is also on an expansion move in South Jersey.
The new Voorhees location is in the Echelon Village Plaza on White Horse Rd, where Edge Fitness is the lead tenant.
42Freeway first brought the news of this then upcoming location way back in June of 2022.
Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations are also under development in Berlin NJ and another is planned for Burlington County. Additional locations are in planning for Philadelphia and surrounding areas including Roosevelt Boulevard.
Buffalo Wild Wings GO – Voorhees, NJ
The Voorhees NJ location for Buffalo Wild Wings is the end unit of the Laurel Road center in a portion of the space which previously was home to Radicchio Italian Restaurant.
The fast casual eatery is designed with the counter and prep/kitchen area to the right, and the open dining area to the left. With the prep area immediately past the counter, the divider wall has “cubby-hole” openings so that takeout orders can be easily located.
Since it is an end unit, the space has significant windows on the two sides. The interior wall is a nice dark blue tile.
As the name suggests, the signature item are the Buffalo Wild Wings chicken wing. They offer traditional bone-in wings as well as boneless.
An impressively large variety of wing sauces are carried over from the full restaurants… offering 19 sauce varieties as well as 5 dry rubs!
The marketing materials around the sauces list them in order of heat with Sweet BBQ at the bottom of the heat scale, and Blazin’ Knockout at the top, which is made from 9 of the hottest peppers!
Chicken Tenders and hand-breaded chicken sandwiches are offered as saucy and classic. Also in the chicken category are wraps in classic and buffalo ranch varieties.
For a healthier “wing” experience Buffalo Wild Wings GO even offers cauliflower wings!
The big surprise for me is that these smaller BWW-GO locations also offer burgers… All-American, All-American with Bacon, and BBQ.
So I REALLY want to try one of the burgers but I stopped in late afternoon and had a dinner planned in a few hours, and felt I had to go with a wing choice. But maybe I’ll be back soon to try a burger and record a video.
A good variety of sides are also offered; tots, cheddar cheese curds, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and wedges. Oh and a few dessert options also!
All of the “entrée” items can be purchased in a bundle pack which include fries, dip and carrots/celery. For another $1 you can add a fountain drink.
I went with the number 1 boneless wings bundle.. with fries, blue cheese and a drink.
For a sauce I went with their Original Buffalo and honestly… it was a bit spicier than I expected! But it is located closer to the top of the heat scale so I should’ve known better!
The French fries were the thinner shoestring style, and included a light amount of pepper.
The wings were cooked perfectly and tasty, and the fries maybe the sleeper of the offerings!
