On Tuesday, Inspira Health held the Ribbon Cutting celebration for their amazing new 80,000sf Health Center Deptford, located on Almonesson Road directly across from the Deptford Mall.
Inspira Health Center Deptford is a modern and beautiful rebuild of a former DICK’s Sporting Goods store, creating a state-of-the art medical facility that is located within minutes of 100s of thousands of South Jersey residents.
The full project has an estimated cost of $50 million, utilizing approximately 30 union-trades subcontractors from the Garden State. Over 600 pieces of medical equipment were purchased for the new facility.
In my tour I learned Inspira Health Center Deptford provides a full medical offering including Primary Care, Cardiac Care, OBGYN, Sports Rehab, Medical Imaging, Orthopedics and more! An Ambulatory Surgery Center is also under consideration for the space.

Location, Location, Location
Absolutely premium health care is the key benefit of the new facility, but I think it’s important to call out some other not-as-obvious advantages to the location!
Deptford is known as a retail mecca in South Jersey, starting in 1975 when the Deptford Mall opened in what was then a farm community. Over the decades Deptford has seen significant commercial growth with the addition of a variety of retail centers, restaurants and hotels. It makes for a unique concentrated and effective commercial powerhouse district.
Today, the new Inspira Health Center Deptford benefits from 50 years of roadway infrastructure improvements making it very easy for people to reach the new Medical Center from every part of South Jersey via Rt 42, Rt 55, AC Expressway, connections from Rt 295, Philadelphia and more!

On Tuesday afternoon Inspira representatives and local officials were on hand at the new Inspira Health Center Deptford to celebrate the official opening of the facility.
A variety of speakers shared the excitement and benefits of the project to Inspira, patients and the local community including Deptford.
Several noted the former life of the building as Dick’s Sporting Goods (which moved across the street to the Deptford Mall). None were bold enough to admit to long-ago memories of when the building was originally Best Products!
A building that once house sneakers, golf clubs and catchers mitts, is now focused on making our community healthier… and saving lives.
Most probably didn’t know that the building has always had a second floor in the front (which goes back to its Best Product days), and Inspira is using both floors as part of its 80,000sf medical offering.
And it’s a significant and beautifully designed facility… like a hotel!
To get a better sense of the size, the building boasts 61 clinical exam and procedure rooms as of today, and that number is expected to grow as additional units open within the facility.
While the building has “old bones” it was redesigned to be highly energy efficient with features such as solar panels on the roof, and all lighting fixtures are LED with occupancy sensors to reduce power consumption.
