Glassboro's Collegetown Shopping Center transformation continues at full steam ahead, with significant progress on the new LIDL, Chipotle and Chase Bank! We stopped in on Sunday November 22nd and have a photo update for readers!
The long awaited Dunkin Donuts in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township has opened!
Its a completely brand new building sitting in the front of the “Sam’s” shopping center, located next to the Gloucester Premium Outlets, and… and it even features a Drive-Thru! I believe this counts as the first “other” development to arrive after the Gloucester Premium Outlets opened last summer.
We all love Dunkin Donuts, and yes there are a lot of them being developed so you’d think interest would be on the lower side… but no other anticipated store opening covered by 42Freeway has drawn more direct questions “What’s going on with that D&D”? (Well, the new Taco Bell on Cross-Keys may share first place regarding questions sent to 42Freeway)
And the reason for all of the interest… is this D&D location has been in stages of active development for a loooong time. Over 2 years. Maybe three? Compare that to the $90 million dollar Outlet mall next door which developed 90 stores in less than a year! I didn’t ask many questions of the owners/managers who were there, but it was funny to hear the few customers who came in during my short visit, all commented on the long delay.
But let’s put that delay in the past, and be happy that there is a new Dunkin Donuts on the Black Horse Pike, with a drive thru and close to access back onto Route 42.
