Real Fruit Bubble Tea is now open in the Deptford Mall directly in the Center Court area. Real Fruit is a growing chain of bubble tea stores utilizing only freshly cut fruit processed on-site, and they use no artificial preservatives or additives.
This new location opened about a week ago, and I stopped in to take some photos just a few days ago.
What is “Bubble Tea”? From the Real Fruit website:
Originally from Taiwan, bubble tea, aka boba, milk tea or pearl milk tea, is made with a milk tea base and tapioca dessert as a topping inside the drink. It is fun, filling and delicious. Modern day bubble teas vary from many different flavors, styles, toppings and ingredients shared all over the world.

One misconception called out by the Real Fruit website is that “bubble tea” actually refers to a broad category of drinks and it doesn’t mean they are all based on a tea…. the base can actually also be tea, milk, ice or fruit juices!
The location in the Deptford Mall truly is a prime spot on the first floor, in a prominent corner of the center court and directly next to the “Cotton On” store. If you are facing the stairwells and Starbucks kiosk… Real Fruit is immediately to your right.
I’ll add that I’m aware that the Starbucks kiosk in the mall is temporarily closed, and I actually stopped in to record a video about it. Simply Starbucks will reopen after completing an ownership change to a licensed store.
Last Fall I had also written that Bubble Bear Tea was coming to the second floor food court area, but so far the construction wall barrier is still in place, and I don’t know the updated status on Bubble Bear.
Real Fruit Bubble Tea – Deptford Mall
Real fruit bubble tea is based out of Toronto and more recently has been expanding into the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia marketplaces.
They have a location in the in South Jersey they have a location in the Cherry Hill mall. Deptford is so new they haven’t even updated it on their website map yet!
The Deptford Mall Real Fruit location is a very attractive, open floor plan which seems to extend off of the open center court area as opposed to being a closed off interior store.
The front main corner of the counter features 3 self order screens which leads you into one of the signature aspects of Real Fruit Bubble tea… while they offer preset drink menus you can completely customize your order however you like.
I know some folks are against the touchscreen ordering systems but honestly in this case I feel like it might be an advantage because you get to see exactly what your options are!
Looking at the menu it appears that they stick solely in the drink/smoothie category… there are no food items available.
The menu categories feature fruit slush, fruit smoothie, fresh juice, ice crush, sherbert, and of course milk tea and fresh green tea.
Each of those categories feature delicious options based on a variety of ingredients such as coconut, chocolate, almond, Peach, grape and more
A bonus category is their signature specialty drinks which include caramel macchiato, passionfruit lemon brew, and a honey lemon ginger tea.
Rounding out your drink choices are a variety of toppings including tapioca pearls, jellies and even whey protein!
