A new building has been going up in Glassboro immediately behind the new Chase Bank on Delsea Drive. The two new tenants are listed as Tropical Smoothie Cafe and European Wax Center.
I covered them in my May post which featured the new Five Below that is being developed, but with the new shared building construction really taking shape I’ve had additional questions on it
I first learned of these two stores from the website of property owner Brixmor.
I’ve said this before but the Brixmor team has really done an amazing job with reimagining this shopping center. If there are awards to be given for this type of rebirth, Brixmor should win something!

Once Five Below, Tropical Smoothie Cafe and European Wax Center open up, I believe Brixmor has caught up with their know signed tenants. They do show one front store space still available for lease (next to Five Below) and another uniquely placed store behind Ross.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Tropical Smoothie Cafe seems very eager to open up in Glassboro, as at the job site they have several banners hanging from the construction fencing surrounding the new building.
As the name indicates, they absolutely offer a large variety of smoothies; from dessert style to nutrition based.
Their menu shows 22 different varieties, 3 more for kids, and 16 supplements and add-ins
But the thing you didn’t expect is that they also offer a FOOD!
A look at their online menu shows they have a fairly decent selection of handheld food items.
Flatbreads, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, salads and sides. Chicken, Turkey, Veggie…
In the core 42Freeway area they have a location in the Gloucester Town Center on Cross Keys Road, and I have no idea how I missed posting on them when they opened.

European Wax Center
We posted on European Wax Center five years ago when they opened a location in Deptford, near Hobby Lobby.
European Wax Center has over 850 locations, and as you would expect based on the name… they feature “waxing” hair removal. Their website shows their services also include body and skincare products.
They have six locations in the Counties of Camden, Gloucester and Burlington and Glassboro will make 7.
Considering that Deptford store opening was 5 years ago and they are still expanding, I think we can say the Wax Center is clearing ripping it up!
An article at NJ Biz from February states at the time they were hoping for a third quarter opening. I am not certain if that is the case.
