Disney today announced it’s latest round of store closures, and the Deptford Disney store will be closing September 15th (or sooner). Just 3 weeks away. This is part of 60 stores closing in this round as Disney leaves the mall retail store market to focus on internet sales, and partnerships with other stores such as Target.

A Dollar Tree store is being developed at “The Shoppes at Gloucester Township”, to be located next to Sam’s Bar & Grille. (Black Horse Pike and Davistown Rd). This large empty section will be split into multiple storefronts, of which one of them will be Dollar Tree. Read on for some history and other ramblings!

Norman’s Hallmark is coming to Deptford NJ, taking over the store location which most recently was Ruth’s Hallmark. Norman’s is a large regional chain of Hallmark Greeting Cards and Gift stores, with dozens of store locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They are hiring now for Deptford, and hoping for a late September opening.

Columbia Care is opening up its Cannabist brand of medical marijuana dispensaries in Deptford New Jersey. The signage is already up at the Clements Bridge Road location! A December 2020 ordinance made this medical marijuana location allowed, but the town recently passed another ordinance targeted at prohibiting additional marijuana businesses.
