Stay & Play is an indoor playground with an educational twist, that recently in the Gloucester Premium Outlets in Blackwood NJ.
They offer four child oriented services in the fun and innovative space: open play, private parties, special visitors, and classes.
Stay & Play is a lifelong dream of Sicklerville resident Britney, who is a New Jersey certified educator, with a career background in both teaching and as an education director.
Inside the play area are a variety of fun an engaging activities for children aged birth through eight years old… including slides, basketball game, climbing and the large crayon castle inflatable jumping gym!
And the entire floor of the play area is covered with a soft rubber flooring to make it a safer space for your child!
Britney believes “The Language of Children is Play” so you won’t find any televisions at Stay & Play! Your child’s visit is focused on a fun, interactive and learning experience.
All activities including open play have reasonable admission fees to them which are listed at the website. But keep reading to learn more!
That being said, Stay & Play is not a daycare and it does not offer “watch your children” services! Parents or guardians are required to closely supervise their children at all times while they play.
If you want to visit Stay & Play, Britney suggests parking in the area close to Friendly’s… she is located just a few doors down. Make an afternoon of your visit with fun time at Stay & Play, and lunch at Friendly’s! Core hours are Mon-Friday 10am-4:30pm (Weekends are private parties). Read more below.
Lockers are provided as well as cute little cubbyhole bins for your children’s shoes.

Open Play
Give your child a new and fun experience, in a safe yet interactive environment… with Open Play!
Open Play is available Mon, Wed, Thurs and Friday (10am-4:30pm). Weekends are reserved for Private Parties but at times you may see a bonus “Weekend Open Play” day announced at the Stay & Play Facebook Profile.
All children are $15.50 each, and Adults are free. Monthly memberships are also available!
With Open Play you can guide your child through all of the fun play equipment at Stay & Play… from the crawl-through caterpillar tunnel, to the variety of slides and even the large inflatable bouncy/activity Crayon Playland!
From Stay & Play: “Open play offers simple tips for the adults on how to engage, educate and understand the way young children learn. The language of children is play!”
In the padded play area, no shoes are allowed. Socks must be worn. An active waiver is required.
Classes
Tuesday’s are reserved for classes which are hour long sessions scheduled by child age group.
The class schedule is available online at the Stay & Play website, and currently features “Socialize Me” sessions from ages 0 to 5.
“Socialize Me” was designed by Early Childhood Professionals and will be taught by NJ State Certified Educators.
Special Visitors
Each month Stay & Play offers a special visitor appearance!
Special visitors offer an opportunity for parents/guardians to join into the fun with their children. Most of the visitors will be putting on a show for us! Each show is action packed with educational, interactive fun.
One example is our “Bubbletopia” show in July. This event will take place on the turf, in the beautiful Outlets center. The world’s biggest bubbles will be blown, music will be playing and children will be popping as many bubbles as they possibly can! (Bubbletopia website Photo Gallery)
Each visitor will be providing something new and exciting for the children. Stay & Play has 12 action packed visit’s scheduled for the 2024 year!

Private Parties
Weekends at Stay & Play are reserved for Private Parties!
Fun activities from slides to playsets are available you’re your child and friends to celebrate a birthday or have a fun private event!
Stay & Play offers a picnic table style seating for both the little ones, and the adults! The dining area is inside the building but not in the padded play area… so adults who want to enjoy the party but not venture into the padded play area, have a comfortable place to sit.
