Bruster’s in Woodbury Heights (Rt 45) demolished for Starbucks

The Woodbury Heights building which housed the Bruster’s Ice Cream and Nathan’s Hot Dog eatery was only about 6 years old, but this week it was demolished to make way for a new Starbucks.

Located on Route 45 in front of the newer LA Fitness and Penn Medicine buildings, had been slated to be redeveloped into a new Starbucks.

Town planning documents show that for over a year the developers were looking to modify and add-on to the the building to suit the needs of Starbucks, and after much discussion Starbucks decided to go with their newer store format which would not fit the footprint of the building.

So a new Starbucks is coming to Woodbury Heights, and at this time 42Freeway is unclear on the timeline.
