Scrub Pro Uniforms has recently opened in Washington Township along Route 42, taking over a building that previously was a Mattress Firm location. More specifically the building is close to Pep Boys and directly next to Meineke. This location is a relocation from Williamstown.
42Freeway readers will undoubtedly be sad to see a Mattress store building being taken over by another business. (*sarcasm!)
Scrub Pro also has area locations in Westville along Rt 47, and Marlton.
Scrub Pro Uniforms – More Than Just Scrubs
Scrub Pro Uniforms is a retail that specializes in selling… scrubs! And other casual merchandise. If you aren’t aware, “scrubs” are the typically monotone (but also patterned) clothing worn by medical professionals in hospitals, doctors offices and elsewhere.
There is a huge demand within the industry of course, if you consider the long hours that medical professionals put in, as well as the stains and messes that scrubs can acquire.

As we mentioned, this new location as actually a relocation from Williamstown. Considering the large medical presence in Washington Township with Jefferson Hospital and Virtua and the significant medical offices… well that was probably a draw for Scrub Pro to move into town.
The building seems to make for a perfect sized store for their product, and it really is located in a core heart of Rt 42 with a lot of non-stop traffic and shoppers.
Scrub Pro is part of the Alko Distributor family of stores.
They trace their roots back to 1975, and appear to be headquartered out of Maryland.
Alko has three brands of clothing stores; Gallo, Alko Clothing Outlet, and Scrub Pro. It appears that only Scrub Pro is active in our area with retail locations.
