Bagel and Brew is now open in the Center Square development in Woolwich, New Jersey, offering fresh, store-made bagels, freshly brewed coffee and a convenient drive-thru experience.
And they’re serving up a lot more than just bagels! Customers will find a variety of freshly baked pastries and other bakery items, including croissants, blueberry muffins, scones, brownies, cookies and more.
Cinnamon rolls seem to be a hot item in South Jersey right now, and Bagel and Brew has their own version, freshly made each morning.
Freshly made smoothies and signature refresher drinks are also part of the menu.
Bagel and Brew is located in the same building as the popular Center Square Tavern, with the tavern occupying the left side of the building and the new bagel shop positioned on the far right.
I’m actually a little late on this one, as Bagel and Brew opened over the summer, with South Jersey Food Scene covering the new business back in July.
At the end of August, Bagel and Brew officially opened its drive-thru, making it even easier for customers to grab a fresh bagel, breakfast sandwich, coffee or specialty drink.
I stopped in last week to grab a few photos and check out the new shop.
According to Bagel and Brew, every bagel they serve is hand-rolled, kettle-boiled and baked fresh each morning in their stone-deck oven.
They’ve also developed a specialty coffee program built around carefully sourced beans and trained baristas who take their coffee-making craft seriously.
And just about a week ago, the team celebrated its official grand opening ceremony!
Bagel and Brew – Growing Woolwich Community
The new Bagel and Brew is located at the intersection of Auburn Road and Center Square Road, directly across from the new ShopRite shopping center and the Woolwich municipal building.
This is an interesting area of Woolwich Township because, while much of the surrounding community still has a rural feel, significant residential and commercial growth continues throughout the region.
Several large housing developments have brought new residents to the area, while the nearby Route 322 warehouse and distribution district is just a few minutes away.
Additional commercial development is also planned nearby, including a new McDonald’s restaurant.
All of this creates a growing customer base for a neighborhood bagel and coffee shop, particularly one with a drive-thru.
A Look Inside Bagel and Brew
During my recent visit, I found a nicely designed bagel shop with customer seating along the left wall and the main ordering counter and kitchen area positioned toward the back right.
The layout also allows employees to serve customers through the drive-thru window.
And speaking of the drive-thru, despite my visit being later in the day, there was a significant line of cars waiting to place orders!
So it certainly seems that Bagel and Brew is already becoming a popular stop for the local community.
Unfortunately, I had already eaten lunch before arriving, so I didn’t get a chance to sample the bagels or other bakery items.
But I know that on my next visit down to Woolwich and Swedesboro, I’ll be stopping in to give them a try!
Bagel and Brew is currently open seven days a week, with hours focused on breakfast and lunch.
They open at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 7 a.m. on Sundays, closing at 3 p.m. each day.
