The temporary steel bridge for Bellmawr’s Browning Road opened this week, with all traffic and pedestrian crossings directed over it! We found it to be very stable, safe, and capable to handle traffic and pedestrians. Photos and Video in the post!
Last weekend was the 6 month anniversary of the Direct Connection roadway collapse in Bellmawr. Very simply… In a mid-September letter to the 5th District Legislative Team, While NJDOT provides key contributing factors to the collapse, they are still working on the definitive solid answer on the cause, who is at fault, the planned solution, costs, timeline… or who-pays for it.
42Freeway takes a look at the not-open-yet Bellmawr Browning Road Temporary Bridge that is currently in place, but still has a few weeks of work ahead to make it traffic ready. Photos in the post of the bridge roadway, pedestrian tunnel, and utility placement.
The long delayed temporary bridge structure for Bellmawr’s Browning Road overpass is now spanning across the entire roadway. Traffic is not using this bridge just yet. It will take a few weeks to fully prepare the bridge and approach ramps before the traffic and pedestrians are allowed to use it.
The installation process for a massive temporary bridge in Bellmawr alongside Browning Road is slated to start next Friday (July 23rd), which will have the right lane of 295N closed from 10am to 2pm. This is just the start of a much longer project segment. NJDOT expects the bridge to be in use this Fall.
