The Breakfast Nook restaurant opened on April 3rd, and we recently stopped in to check out the place, and to grab a breakfast sandwich. Read on for more on our experience and photos!
They are a new breakfast, bagel and coffee shop with an artistic twist, set up right on Cross Keys Rd in Gloucester Township.
The specific location is the former “My Favorite Muffin” store at 683 Berlin-Cross Keys Road, directly across from Royal Farms.

We are a chef crafted breakfast restaurant featuring fresh bagels, breakfast entrees, and house specialty roast coffee from EndGrain Roasters in Pitman. Cold brew on tap and we will be featuring a few grab n go items for people that are seriously in a rush! We have about a 20 foot hallway to the bathroom, and we are going to be featuring a bunch of local artists on the walls with their names, location, and price point if someone is interested in purchasing the art! All proceeds going straight to the artist! We just want to showcase some art, bring some new people in, and support other small businesses in these troubling times!

Create Your Own Sandwich
The Breakfast Nook menu offers all of your breakfast favorites, and offers interesting options presented by Executive Chef Alex Domzalski and Joel Schliep.
And it all seems very reasonably priced.
The first thing on the menu is the “Create Your Own Sandwich” which follows that pattern of “Step 1: Choose a bread, Step 2: Choose a Meat”…
… and that Create Your Own sandwich is $5.
That seems reasonable for custom made, choose your ingredients, sandwich? AmIright?
Bread options are listed as; Bagels, Buttermilk Biscuit, English Muffin, Croissant, Belgian Waffle, Wheat Tortilla.
Wait? A Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich? For $5?! I didn’t see that until now. Heading back soon! ha!
Signature sandwiches are pre-defined recipes… and where the Breakfast Nook folks really can shine! A few examples:
- Livin’ Lavish: Over medium egg, seared steak, pepper jack cheese, on a brioche bun.
- The Breakfast Nook Special: House-made Belgian waffle infused with maple syrup, over medium egg with American Cheese and sausage
- Lil Guys: 2 buttermilk biscuits, scrambled cheddar cheese eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage
- Lil Diablo: Fried Egg with diced jalapeño, pepper jack cheese, chorizo, side hot sauce on jalapeño cheddar bagel!
Their omelets follow a similar “Choose a cheese, Choose a topping” pattern, and sell for $7.50.
That’s a three egg omelet with cheese and TWO toppings, plus home fries!
Entrees include the NJ Benedict (english muffin, pork roll, poached egg and hollandaise), Steak & Eggs, and yes… Avocado Toast!
In trying to keep things local and fresh, their coffee comes from Pitman’s Endgrain and the pastries/danishes come from Deluxe Italian Bakery!

Lining the hallway to the back of the restaurant, they are showcasing a gallery of artwork… where proceeds of any sales go 100% to the artist!
