One month ago today, Shana's Wild Fig Restaurant opened on the Black Horse Pike in the Historic Blackwood Downtown district. Owner Shana Mastranduono is so local she grew up in Blackwood and is a Highland High School graduate!! Shana has a very diverse culinary background and she carries that into her regularly changing menu. Italian, American, Mexican, Asian and more... she loves to bring her creativity to her dishes.
The Cinder Bar - Cross Keys Facebook page made the official announcement this morning... they set an opening date for December 16th! They have also been posting interior photos on the page, and the place looks AMAZING! They really do have a great design team for the restaurants... hitting home runs in creating an "upscale casual" experience.
Williamstown is incredibly excited about Grindstone Restaurant opening on Main Street (this past weekend). This BYOB features artisan wood fired pizza and tapas-style appetizers. No individual food items here... it's all about sharing! They are located across from 13th Child Brewery and a block from The Grand Theater. With these three businesses pulling in the people, Main Street is finally living up to it's name! Owned by a Williamstown family... be sure to support local businesses. Closed Monday and Tuesday, so make plans for the rest of the week. See article for more details!
What happened to the Deptford iHop? Back in 2016, 42Freeway.com reported on the proposed iHop restaurant to be developed in Deptford next to the very popular Chick-fil-A (and in the Lowe's Home Improvement parking lot). Three years later there are no signs of development. Video in the article.
Popeyes Chicken locations around the country are being overwhelmed with customers trying to get a taste of the new chicken sandwich, including our Blackwood, Turnersville and Lawnside stores! The craziness is because... well word is, it's good enough to hang with (or beat) the Chik-Fil-A sandwich. In our area traffic is backing out on to the highways! We have our video experience review on YouTube!
This fall The Laughing Fox Tavern will be opening on the White Horse Pike in Magnolia on September 19th, taking over the massive and closed restaurant/bar that was most recently The Woodstone Tavern.
