The Ross Dress for Less location in Glassboro NJ opened this past Saturday (Oct 24th). They join a recently opened (relocated) Big Lots store. The third new store for the repurposed Collegetown K-Mart building is a Lidl Grocery, and there doesn’t seem to be much construction activity inside.

The new (relocated) Big Lots in Glassboro on 47 is opening October 1st! This is the first of three stores for the former K-Mart building. Ross appears to be next in line, and LIDL is following after. There is also a Chase Bank and Chipotle coming. In sad news, the Save-A-Lot Grocery up the road a short bit, closes on 9/30/20
A few weeks ago, the beautiful Rowan Boulevard retail district in Glassboro closed down their main road to set up large tents on the street for outdoor dining… and they offer a variety of restaurants, and some serving alcohol!. Today (Friday Aug 21), Rowan Blvd is “turning it up to 11” with a Summer Fest event! The awesome band TK and The Howlers will be performing at Town Square starting at 5pm*
From 55 North you can see the land clearing and construction taking place deep behind the new Inspira Hospital on Rt 322 in Mullica Hill. This development is a new County Road called 641 Spur, which will connect Rt 322 at Inspira with Ellis Mill Road in Glassboro. Basically they roadways are two adjacent exits on Rt 55, and this new road will give more direct access to the hospital from the South.
Ross Dress For Less is coming to Glassboro’s Collegetown Shopping Center on Delsea Drive (47), joining the previously reported LIDL supermarket and a relocated Big Lots. All three stores will be taking over the space of the former K-mart building, which is being completely redeveloped.
On Monday June 15th, New Jersey food and drink establishments are allowed to offer outside dining for their customers! Not all restaurants, breweries or wineries are supporting outside dining, and some are starting up delayed… so I started putting together a list of who is supporting outside dining, and a link to an associated Facebook post. I plan on updating this list as more information comes in.
