About Royal Farms

An added twist to the Berlin Cross-Keys Rd store is it sits at the same intersection as a “Classic” Wawa… literally across the street.  The new Royal Farms will feature gas pumps, fried chicken and presumably better driving access and parking lot situation… so Royal Farms is more than just competition to Wawa at this location, they really are in a position to seriously impact that classic Wawa’s sales.  Honestly I am surprised that with a Wawa there for decades and Wawa’s move to upgrade all their stores… that they let Royal Farms take that prime corner.

42Freeway has been tracking Royal Farms since the first entered into our area a few years ago.  This will be our 21st post tagged “Royal Farms” and I know we’ve missed a few stores (I don’t think I ever posted on East Greenwich)

Prior stories give details of the Royal Farms experience (Coming to Cross Keys!) and I even went to Pennsylvania and did a video tour, ahead of the New Jersey stores opening… but here is a short overview from the original planning board meeting minutes:

Mr. Gunter provided testimony as to what Royal Farms offers, hot and cold foods, world famous fried chicken and healthy on the go type options as wells as provide seating inside and outside. This proposed store is 5167 square feet, an open floor plan with seating 4 tables with 2 chairs each, and 7 to 10 stools where you can sit and eat and outdoor seating. The virtual tour was shown on the screens with Mr. Gunter providing a description of what we were viewing. There are 8 gas locations for this location. The hours of operations will be 24 hours.
