Caribbean Paradise is a new Jamaican restaurant which opened in Washington Township, in the shopping center directly across from the High School. They are offering "A Taste of the Island" with their delicious Jamaican dishes. They are on the left side of the shopping center (now called Cooper Plaza?), directly next to the Craft Room. This is the second location for Caribbean Paradise, with the first being in the Berlin Farmers Market.
It's taken over 2 years since we first reported it, but the Tesla Superchargers located in the Deptford Mall parking lot on the Clements Bridge Road side (Red Robin/Boscov's), are finally operational. There are 12 chargers in total, capable of 150kw each. Tesla Superchargers are only for use with Tesla cars.
An alert reader pointed us to a new Dollar General being developed within the existing Commerce Plaza on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township. The location is the more recently remodeled strip mall behind TD Bank and Dunkin Donuts (Lumpy's BBQ is also located there). Dollar General will occupy the right side of the building, which has an angled corner entrance,
The new Dick's Sporting Goods at the Deptford Mall is set to open next week! The preview starts on Wednesday August 12th 2020, and on Saturday August 15th they move into "Grand Opening" mode... which for the 15th and 16th offers a coupon for $10 off a $25 (or more) purchase at the new Deptford Mall location. Two exciting new dining options for Washington Township are getting close to opening, and the are actively hiring right now! Chipotle and First Watch are finishing up construction on Egg Harbor Road, at the Acme Shopping Center. We don't have the date yet as to when they are opening, but it looks like Chipotle will be opening first. Job links in the article.
The beloved Seven Star Diner in Deptford (at Five Point) is absolutely fine. They are waiting for indoor dining to resume, and no... they are not for sale. The real estate signs on Rt 41 and 47 were to promote additional buildings to be added to the larger property they own (the signs are now gone). Video in the article!
