Thai Burger Express and Asian market has signed a lease in Washington Township, on Egg Harbor Road in the same center as Liscio’s and Philly Pretzel!
And yes… these are the same folks who operated Pitman’s Thai Burger Cafe that EVERYONE raved about!
The new Washington Township location was most recently home to 373 American Grill.
While we don’t know all of the details of why they left Pitman, their former Facebook page describes how they sold the building in December and had to close up fairly quickly as the new buyers were looking to start remodeling fast! We’re tracking what is coming into Pitman.
Unfortunately, 42Freeway never made it over to the Pitman location, but we heard really good things about them.
We aren’t 100% certain that everything carries over to Washington Township, but with “burger” in the name, you can be certain they are on the menu, ha!
It’s an interesting menu mix that they offered. Noodles, Fried Rice, Curry dishes, Big Bowl Soups and amazing house specialties including lamb, salmon, and duck!
And then the burgers! The menu is somewhat terse on the burgers; Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Cheeseburger.
But from what I’ve been told, they are some of the best burgers in Gloucester County!

42Freeway will definitely be covering their opening, and will offer more on the menu… and the burgers!
