Sugared by Sha is a new gourmet cupcake/cake, cookie and ice creamery which opened this year in the Clarksboro section of East Greenwich, NJ.
They are located in the Berkley Square center, directly next to Pinspiration DIY Craft store who we featured at 42Freeway about a year ago!
Ribbon Cutting Friday September 30 @ 4pm
Sugared opened earlier this year but on Friday Sept 30th they are having the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce will be performing the ribbon cutting at 4pm.
The first 50 customers at the ribbon cutting will receive a special gift! Sugared will also have coupons to be used at your next visit.
Sugared: A South Jersey Chic Dessert Shop
Sha is the owner of Sugared and while she is a South Jersey local now, her roots are from Brooklyn, NY which is where inspiration for Sugared comes from.
I wanted to create a place that reminds me of the chic dessert shops I would frequent in my hometown (of Brooklyn).

The style of the bakery is modern and bright, and yes… chic! “A modern industrial parlor” is how she describes it.
The cafe interior is very attractively designed with several seating options in both the main front room, as well as a second seating area which can be used for small private events.
After entering you are greeted with the main counter where owner Sha and her team have all of their delicious creations on display, as well as creamy ice cream!
During my visit I tried a lemon cupcake and it was… amazing!
Smooth and creamy frosting. A delicious moist cake, bursting with flavor.
I went with that choice because Sha said it was her favorite, and I can understand why!
I hope to be back on Friday to try more deliciousness.
Speaking of cupcakes…the parlor offers 8 signature cupcake flavors daily, which include flavors such as Carter’s Chocolate Crave, Auntie’s Red Velvet, Lemon Blossom, Tuxedo, and Milk & Cookies.
Sugared will be adding in new flavors regularly, so stop in frequently.
Sha wants customers to know that they do not use any nuts in the bakery. She uses the term “nut-friendly” for her store in that while there are no nuts, they are not a nut-free certified facility (which means she cannot use the nut-free term)
Rounding out the Sugared experience are organic teas, gourmet ice cream, as well as dairy free milkshakes and floats.
They even have custom cakes at Sugared! Ask for details when you visit.
