Raising Cane’s Glassboro Sets Grand Opening For Thursday Jan 9th.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers continues their push to dominate the South Jersey chicken scene, with the opening of an all-new Glassboro location set for this Thursday, January 9^th.

The Glassboro Raising Cane’s location is opening at the intersection of Delsea Drive (Rt 47) and Donald Barger Boulevard, on a prime corner property which previously was home to a Rite-Aid pharmacy (directly next to Wendy’s, across from Wawa).

Like all of the South Jersey Raising Cane’s locations, this is all new construction featuring a glass enclosed dining room and a dual-lane drive-thru. The Glassboro location also offers an outside dining area at the front entrance.

Doors are set to open this Thursday at 9:00 AM, but Grand Opening festivities start at 8:00, and names for the big giveaway are accepted starting at 7am. Read on for more!

Before we dive in further, if you’re still not clear on what Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is all about… In short summary they are a rapidly growing national chicken finger/tender fast-food restaurant based out of Louisiana, offering freshly made hand-battered chicken fingers, delicious sides and the famous “Cane’s Sauce” for dipping chicken fingers, fries… whatever!

Across the country Raising Cane’s is not only seeing many new locations open, but also having incredible success within each store.

A September article in Restaurant Business Online states that for the first half of 2024, same store sales increased 17.5% and the average sales volume of a single unit was $6.2 million… which is more than two times the quick service industry average!

While Cane’s is delicious for everyone it seems what’s really fueling the growth is the younger Gen-Z crowd… and if you visit a location late afternoon you’ll see the proof!

For South Jersey this will be the 5th location, with the others being in Burlington, Marlton, Cherry Hill and Deptford.

A Washington Township location has also been under construction at the same time as Glassboro, and they are set to open on February 4th. There are additional South Jersey locations in the pipeline, with another wave of store openings likely in 2026.

Raising Cane’s Glassboro Experience!

Like many of the newer Chicken restaurants entering South Jersey the last few years, Raising Cane’s has a more simple menu focused on just one main entrée… freshly made chicken fingers.

The breading is flavorful and crispy.. but not too thick. The chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, with just the right amout of texture.

But of course they offer a variety of different sides, which for many customers is as important as the chicken fingers themselves!

Raising Cane’s Texas Toast is wildly popular, and you have a pretty good chance when you’re there that someone in line is walking away from the counter with an extra piece of toast.

They also offer crinkle cut fries and coleslaw.

Another item that Raising Cane’s fans are crazy about is their “Cane’s Sauce” which is in the 1000-island Dressing category but with additional seasonings.. and is perfect for dipping chicken fingers or French Fries.
