Pizza Tower opened yesterday at 745 Woodbury-Glassboro Road in Mantua/Sewell, and Mark from 42Freeway stopped in today for a delicious lunch!
The location is close to the Blackwood-Barnsboro Road intersection (and next to Wawa). The Pizza Tower building was previously home to a Stellato Brothers location. (Stellato Brothers still has their Route 45 location).
Many will remember Pizza Tower from when they were in Washington Township on Egg Harbor Road. This has been a 2 year long relocation which was delayed by pandemic impacts and extensive remodeling.
Today Pizza Tower is at a new location with a spacious and remodeled interior… and they also deliver and take online orders at their website!
They are 100% open now but the official Grand Opening celebration is Monday, May 9th 2022.

My Lunch at Pizza Tower
The exterior of the building may be mostly the same from it’s prior life as a produce store… but inside EVERYTHING is new, including almost all of the kitchen equipment!
I mean.. not much carries over from a produce store, so this was basically new construction within the shell.
The space is very roomy and has a lot of tables for seating, but Sal (who is in the family that owns the pizzeria) tell us they will be adding even more seating.
The room is bright and attractive, with new flooring, paint and accent stone.
The counter is set to the right side, and behind that is the kitchen which is completely visible to customers.
I mentioned some of the delay in opening in the new location were supply-chain related around the pandemic impacts… well they have a soda fountain machine on its way, but don’t worry they have bottled drinks.
This really is a true family operation. It was Sal’s brother who reached out to 42Freeway about their opening, and as I entered the front door I was greeted by their Father who I knew from another area business the family operates!
I places my lunch order for 2 slices and a cheesesteak.
Yeah there is no way I am eating all of that in one lunch, but I really wanted to try the pizza and the steaks.
My order was brought to my table quickly and everything looked great… and tasted great also!
The slices were a good size… thin crust with a little bit of crunch to it. This was not “floppy” slices!
The cheesesteak had a very good portion of meat on it, and the roll was a soft style roll (and I forgot to ask where they came from!)
I was able to eat a full slice of pizza and half of the cheesesteak, so I packed it up for the ride home.
Overall the food was very tasty and I was not disappointed!

Hot pizzas which include the traditional varieties, and leads into Gourmet specialty pizza varieties such as Buffalo Chicken, Hawaiian, Veggie, Chicken Parm and more.
Stromboli/Calzones are offered in similar Gourmet offerings, as well as the Original Tarantini Panzarotti.
Pizza Tower offers a large variety of sandwiches including cheesesteaks, chicken parm, meatball, grilled chicken, flounder, hot roast been and more!
In the category of “familiar but unique” they offer hot artisan style sandwiches called “Rustics”… which is many of your favorite hot sandwiches in a crispy crusty roll!
A variety of burgers close out the grill section, and entrees include Veal or Chicken Parmesan, Butterfly Shrimp, a variety of pastas and more!
Oh and let’s not forget the Chicken Wings and appetizers!
They run daily specials like Tuesday Ravioli night, Saturday Parmesan Dinner night, a Sunday large pizza night.. and more!
