As Glassboro’s Monarch Diner approaches their 2nd year Anniversary, they are already looking to further enhance customer dining options with an innovative upgrade to the front patio area.
When completed, the enhanced space will offer additional fully enclosed and climate controlled all-season dining, but… Instead of traditional walls or glass windows, surrounding the space will be full glass trifold walls which can fully open and close! This will allow the Monarch to also offer an open air dining experience when the weather is appropriate!
Outdoor dining options have become even more important to restaurants and diners in 2020 and beyond, but let’s be honest… in our South Jersey climate there are only a few months that outdoor dining is really viable, so this plan offers the Monarch and it’s customers maximum usage of the space.
Management is targeting to have the new dining space open for Valentine’s Day 2021… baring any weather impacts on construction.
The Monarch Diner opened in February 2019, taking over the location which was previously PB’s Pub. The significant remodeling effort done by the Monarch owners returned the building back to it’s more pure diner roots… well they literally rebuilt everything all new!
The Monarch still offers a small bar area off to the side, but it’s clear that great food, great customer service, and a happy staff are first on the Monarch’s priority list… so if you also want beer to go along with that tasty burger… yeah, they got ya covered!
The diner has quickly become become a cornerstone restaurant and meeting place for the community, and the need for additional dining options even after a challenging restaurant year, is further proof of that!
