Fruiggie Juice and Bowls is Open In Gloucester Twp

Fruiggie Juice and Bowls opened this past weekend in Gloucester Township on Chews Landing Road.  I stopped in and caught up with founder Mike and his team member Tess to check out the new location and to try a delicious Fruiggie Bowl and Juice.

Mike is a lifelong healthy eater, and the unique Fruiggie name comes from the combination of “Fruit” and “Veggies”… which defines the ingredient list of their delicious and healthy bowls, juices, protein shakes and smoothies. And yes the menu also includes the popular acai bowls.

The location for the new Fruiggie Juice is in a remodeled building next to the Chews Landing ShopRite. As I wrote about in May, the former Edlen Meats portion of the building has been redeveloped into four new retail tenants.

In the building, Glen Oaks Liquors is on the far right and Villa Russo’s Pizza is still making amazing pizza in the adjacent unit. Fruiggie Juice takes over the all new unit to the left of the pizza shop.

Later this year will see the opening of Cinco de Mayo Mexican Restaurant, MT Beauty Supply and Boswood Bagels

Fruiggie Juice and Bowls

Founder and owner Mike Tartaglia started Fruiggie Juice in 2017, opening his first location in Washington Township… which is still open on Hurffville-Cross Keys Rd close to Jefferson Hospital.

For the new Gloucester Township location Mike is referring to it as “Fruiggie Juice Laurel Springs” based on their mailing address.

Another similarly named location in West Deptford is not directly owned by Mike, but he did help them get started initially.

Inside the “Laurel Springs” location it’s an all new build-out for Fruiggie Juice features a bright and inviting space with several tables in the front, and a counter/order area to the back.  Behind that is the Juice/Bowl/Smoothie kitchen.

It’s a good amount of space for the shop, and Mike has additional design aspects coming soon for the space.

A large chalkboard covers most of the right wall, highlighting a menu which is broken out into four main categories (smoothies, protein shakes, bowls, juices)

It’s an extensive menu that features probably five dozen different recipe options, making it easy to decide on what to pick.

I went with a Sunrise Bowl which carries that “tiki beach lifestyle” that I enjoy so much… featuring a base of Pineapple-Mango blend, topped with granola, strawberries, Kiwi, coconut flakes and pineapple chunks.

Honestly, there was a lot of effort and preparation that went into this bowl as it offered a big variety of delicious and fresh flavors in one serving!

For those who are familiar with these types of fresh fruit bowls, yes Fruiggie also offers the popular purple acai base… But honestly I was impressed that Fruiggie takes the time to create their own custom base recipes such as my Pineapple-Mango.

Look how much fun I am having… my Fruiggie Bowl has to be delicious!

Mike has a long history of living a healthy lifestyle both in what he eats and his regular exercise regiment.

Many years ago he started creating his own healthy juice blends which made it easy for him to take on the go with him… whether he was at the gym, driving to work, or just relaxing at home.

Friends quickly started to notice Mike’s delicious and healthy juice recipes “Hey what are you drinking?” and soon asked if Mike could make them batches of his juices… and with that Fruiggie Juice was born!

Today, the delicious and fresh juices are still made fresh in the Fruiggie Kitchens, but to maximize convenience for customers they are pre-bottled and available in the grab-n-go refrigerator case.

That being said, all of the smoothies, shakes and bowls are made per order…  so you can customize any ingredient on the menu or just come up with something completely new.

I had a nice time meeting up with Mike and Tess at the Laurel Springs location, so stop in and say hello!  Online it shows then being open seven days a week from early morning until early evening. (See below)

Overall this is a nice development for the community, repurposing an older building and bringing four new quality tenants into the neighborhood
