Dollar General Runnemede Lot Clearing Begins Ahead of Construction

Dollar General Runnemede Lot Clearing Begins Ahead of Construction

Back in the Spring of 2020, South Jersey Observer had the story on a new free-standing Dollar General retail store building being proposed for Runnemede on Clements Bridge Road.

Clearing on the lot has begun ahead ahead of the construction.

The new store will be 10,640 sq ft, and this larger store will replace the one that is currently in the nearby shopping center (where the DMV is also located).

Directly across from the new Dollar General location is the main entrance into the Presidential Apartments.

This is a densely packed suburban area with many homes and other apartment buildings, making it a prime candidate for this type of investment for the booming Dollar General chain.

This seems to be a trend with Dollar General who prefers their own single stores matching a common size and design (where feasible of course).

A Dollar General in the 5-Points area of Washington Township was also approved as a new free-standing building, to replace one that was already existing in a local strip mall.
