The Earthbound Trading Co. retail store opened on Friday in the Deptford Mall’s lower level, in a space next to Garage.
Started in the 90s as a rock and mineral shop, Earthbound Trading has grown into a much broader product offering adding in clothing, home decor and more.
But even as the product selection was grown they still maintain a free-spirited mindset to offer customers “the hippie things you know and love”.
The brand seems to have connected with their audience and while they are still privately held by the original founder, they have grown to over 150 locations nationwide. It appears that Deptford Mall is the first location in the Philadelphia and New York regions.
I stopped in over the weekend to check out the store and found an attractively designed space… white walls and a light grey wood flooring creates a nice background canvas for the dark wood product displays and colorful items on sale.
The store layout seems designed for browsing. Everything is in organized areas of the store, but at the same time the products flow from one to another… you’re looking at a new shirt but very likely an adjacent necklace or home décor item will grab your attention and off you go!

That’s just a few things to highlight what the vibe of the brand and store are all about!
Earthbound Trading’s website features a variety of product categories beyond women and men’s clothing… home decor and gift items, crystals, as well as aroma and spa items.
Now open in the Deptford Mall, as mentioned Earthbound Trading is located on the lower level (Dick’s side of the mall).. directly next to Garage and across from Rally House.
