Kirkland’s Home Décor store at the Court of Deptford on Almonesson Road is in the final steps of loading in product, and is targeting an end of April opening, according to a company social media representative. The store will located along the back right of the shopping center between Ross and Party City.
We published an article about the upcoming store back on December 14th. The new Kirkland’s was being developed just as Dress Barn was shutting down their store.
Kirkland’s has over 420 stores in 36 states. They feel what sets themselves apart from other home good stores is they put their products into more attractive settings “we create inspirational environments that delight the senses, spark memories, and inspire creativity.” as opposed to putting merchandise on cold metal shelves. Additionally, from their website:
“The Company’s stores present a broad selection of distinctive merchandise, including framed art, mirrors, candles, lamps, picture frames, accent rugs, garden accessories and artificial floral products. The Company’s stores also offer an extensive assortment of gifts, as well as seasonal merchandise”
This continues an unequalled string of signings by DLC management (who manage the large shopping center), who in a very few short years took what was becoming an eyesore property and turned it into a premier shopping and dining destination. Kudos to them.
