Croce’s On Delsea Glassboro Opens!  Sandwiches, Pasta, Pizza, Italian Market and More

Croce’s On Delsea Glassboro Opens!  Sandwiches, Pasta, Pizza, Italian Market and More

With a 35-year top reputation in Cherry Hill for their amazing homemade fresh pasta and sauces, incredible sandwiches, tomato pies, catering options and more…  Croce’s Pasta has opened a new location in Glassboro… Croce’s On Delsea.

The new Croce’s on Delsea opened just a few days ago, taking over the building which previously was home to Peter and Sons.

The Glassboro location brings the delicious Croce’s homemade menu to the heart of Glassboro’s commercial district, just a few blocks from Rowan University.  The Washington Township border is just a mile away.

I stopped in yesterday to meet up with husband and wife owners Rob and Monica, as well as their team member Kenzie… to learn all about the new Croce’s location and to have a delicious lunch.

Croce’s is actually now three locations including the original Cherry Hill and a seasonal spot in Avalon NJ.

Founder (and Dad) Joe Croce is still at the helm of the famous Cherry Hill location, and it’s son Rob who has ventured out to lead the effort to open the Avalon location previously, and now this new Glassboro location.

I first shared with readers the plans for the Glassboro Croce’s in August, and the family has moved very quickly to update the space and kitchen to support the extensive Croce’s menu and be able to turn on the “Open” sign.

I showed up on Day Two of the opening and already word had gotten out in a big way, as my lunchtime visit quickly saw the space fill-in with over a dozen customers eager to try the delicious sandwiches and more.

The Italian Market at Croce’s On Delsea Glassboro

The first floor customer area of Croce’s is not a large space, with the bulk of the area focused on the extensive kitchen and Italian Market store.

A small front room serves as both the specialty products store and a customer wait area.

Currently there is no indoor seating at Croce’s, but it will soon become available on the second floor once they complete the remodeling in that upstairs space.

That being said, there are plenty of seating options outside with the large and attractive deck which is perfect for dining on nice weather days… as I did in my visit.

The Italian Market specialty products selection at Croce’s offers Divella Pasta, Mulani Bianco cookies, olives and olive oils and much more.

And of course they have their fresh store-made Croce’s sauces and pastas, with two refrigerators offering a variety of sauces (tomato, meat, vodka, Alfredo), pastas… and even homemade soup!

Croce’s On Delsea – The Menu

The new Croce’s in Glassboro opens with a fairly substantial menu, with one side focused on the lunch/dinner ready-to-eat menu, and the other side offering the catering and pasta-by-the pound options.

My mind was focused on lunch and I was presented a list of categories including hoagies and cold sandwiches, smashburgers, cheese steaks, hot sandwiches, pasta, wings, salads, pizza and even a long list of appetizers

It was really tough to choose what to eat for lunch because I’m a huge fan of cheesesteaks and hoagies, and I’m intrigued by their famous tomato pie… but before heading over I had seen their Facebook post showing an incredible looking Chicken Cutlet sandwich with Broccoli Rabe and Sharp Provolone… and that Croce’s post had already made-up my mind for me!

My sandwich was served on a fresh seeded roll with a crispy outer shell… And honestly fresh cutlet sandwich looked like something out of a magazine photo.

The #10 at Croce’s On Delsea; Chicken Cutlet, Broccoli Rabe, Sharp Provolone

The chicken cutlet was cooked perfectly with a thin breading to give it a crispy bite.  The broccoli rabe and sharp provolone then took that bite to an extra level.  If you’re looking to order the same I think they call it the #10.

I timed my visit perfectly stopping in around 11:40 as I saw numerous customers coming in, waiting and heading out with their orders… and they are likely going to get even busier!

But I can’t wait to stop back and try more of the menu. Tomato Pie… you’re next on my list!

Croce’s on Delsea is open every day with hours set for lunch and dinner hours (see below).
