The Cookie Munchers bakery in the Rowan Boulevard complex in Glassboro recently added the Philly Pretzel Factory to the menu, bringing two “fresh baked in store” businesses into the one-store unit.
Cookie Munchers also serves fresh ice cream… so with cookies, pretzels, ice cream and slushies as key menu items, it’s the perfect sweet shop dessert spot to visit while shopping or dining in Rowan Boulevard.
Cookie Munchers opened about seven years ago in the popular Glassboro Rowan Boulevard complex, providing fresh baked warm cookies to Glassboro and Rowan University students. They offer late-night hours… 11am until 3:30am on Weekends, and 1:30am the rest of the week!
Recently Cookie Munchers was acquired by a local has experience with Philly Pretzel Factory… and had the realization that the two fresh baked products were perfect compliments to each other.
Considering that the Glassboro staff already had significant experience in making and preparing the hot fresh baked cookies daily… that similar effort for making hot and fresh pretzels further made this a perfect match!
I chatted with the new owner Bob who tells me it also allows him to offer more creative promotions… follow along at their social media channels for promos which combine products from both brand menus.
I stopped in recently to check in on the updates that they did to support both product brands.
Fresh cookies are on the display case to the left, and the fresh pretzel products are off to the right. Some seating options are available.
For the introduction of pretzels into the Rowan Cookie Munchers store, you’ll find a pretzel menu similar to the Philly Pretzel locations in Walmart stores (such as Deptford – Cooper St) which offers pretzel twists, pretzel rivets and specialty pretzels such as the Spicy Pretzel Sausage.
And if you haven’t tried the signature Cookie Munchers cookies, they are delicious without being monstrously sized… which is something that also attracted Bob to the brand.
While still a good sized cookie, Cookie Munchers is able to offer a more traditional cookie munching experience, which gives you the flexibility of snacking on one or diving into more with a variety of flavors.
Or maybe a cookie, a pretzel twist and a slushie? Now that’s a perfect combo!
