A Chipotle Mexican Grill casual dining restaurant is being proposed for Barrington NJ on the White Horse Pike (at Bell Ave), at the location which for decades was home to bars over the years. This is very close to a Rt 295 Exit.
The front portion of the same block is also home to Victor Liquors which will be unaffected by the Chipotle project. The two businesses will be close by neighbors.
Chipotle Developers are scheduled to appear before the Barrington Joint Land Use Board on September 26, 2022.

Chipotle Barrington Taking Over Bar Location
For the proposed Barrington location. the area of the White Horse Pike has received a lot of development attention in recent years.
At the same intersection a new Chick-Fil-A opened just last summer.
Across the street a new Wawa opened several years ago.
And also in the same general intersection area, Chuck Lager restaurant is open, which was originally developed just a few years ago as Wild Wing Cafe.
And as mentioned on the same block is Victor Liquors who not too long ago remodeled their liquor store.
The bar location they are taking over will mean the full demolition of the current building.
Over the years several bar businesses have operated at the same corner, most recently Time Out bar.
Time Out bar has moved over to Gloucester City. They operators of Time Out were not the property owners, and their move a year ago was seemingly because the property owner was looking to move into other directions with the Barrington piece of real estate
The lot for Chipotle is actually sliced into 5 thin sections. It appears that many decades ago a rowhome style building was there before the bar building was built.
Based on the public notice listing of tax blocks it appears that the Chipotle development will be focused only on the Bar and parking areas. No additional homes lots will be taken, as was the case with the Chick-Fil-A
There is also an office property directly between the bar lots and the liquor store that from what I see in the listed lots, is NOT part of this development.
Chipotle Restaurants – Big Area Growth Phase
I have to believe everyone knows what Chipotle restaurants are, but..

The model of “Pick a style, pick a meat, pick toppings” is one that has now been followed by other restaurants in the category.
When they originally opened in our area it was clear the fanbase outnumbered the opened units as frequently stores like the one in Deptford would have long lines.
In the last few years Chipotle has had a significant growth spurt in our area, adding locations in Washington Township, Glassboro, Blackwood, Bellmawr and more. A location is also planned for Brooklawn.
Today Chipotle has approximately 3,000 locations!
Jount Land Use Meeting: Variances Requiring Approvals
As part of the approval process there are several variances which need to be approved, most seem to be directed at the smaller lot size.
Approvals are needed for size of lot (width and depth), impervious coverage of the lot
