Two exciting dining options will soon be opening in Washington Township on Egg Harbor Road; Chipotle and First Watch. We don’t have the date yet as to when they are opening, but construction is nearing completion and both new eateries are actively recruiting employees (See links below). Chipotle and First Watch will be sharing a remodeled building located in the front parking area of the Acme Shopping Center, on Egg Harbor Road.
The location is close the Jefferson Hospital and Washington Township High School, and coupled with a large suburban home base… this should be a great location.
The full exterior work has been completed for weeks, and construction workers have been diligently working on the interior build out. We stopped by recently and it was clear that Chipotle was ahead in the final construction process. Yesterday we saw Coca-Cola trucks on site.
Chipotle is a well known “fast casual” Mexican restaurant, featuring a simple multi-step process of ordering… pick your style (Taco Shell, Burrito), Meat (Chicken, Steak, Veggie), Beans and other veggies, cheese.. etc. There are locations in Deptford, Sicklerville, Voorhees, Cherry Hill… and a new locations is also planned nearby in Glassboro.
The Washington Township Chipotle will be one of the first with a drive-up window. It is our understanding that this is for pick-ups only… you will have of called in or placed an order online, and you can then pick up at the window.

First Watch – The Daytime Cafe
First Watch currently has a location in Cherry Hill, but is not as well known in the area. The growing chain has over 200 locations. The name “Daytime Cafe” fully describes the restaurant, as they only offer breakfast and lunch. They offer a fresh approach to food… every morning the prepare the food fresh, including baked goods such as muffins and french toast batter. They don’t use heat lamps or deep fryers. And they serve coffee by the pot, not the cup!
