Brynn Bradley cheesesteaks has completed their move to Woodbury Heights into a much larger unit which offers indoor seating for about two dozen customers.
Located in the College Square Shopping Center on Mantua Pike (Route 45), the center is most notably known for the Esporta Fitness gym (recently closed). Starbucks is also in the center.
I stopped in at Brynn Bradley yesterday for a late lunch and was happily surprised to see how large the dining area is at the new location (particularly in comparison to their former location)… and absolutely their delicious cheesesteaks are still a top contender in South Jersey.
From the outside it looks like a more narrow unit but Brynn Bradley Woodbury Heights actually takes up another unit also, to the left of the red “STEAKS” sign.
Originally opened in 2020, for their first four years Brynn Bradley was located in Woodbury NJ, caddy-corner from the Colonial Diner. That much smaller space was perfect for them when they were just starting it out but it offered no real indoor seating options, and a very tight kitchen and front counter area.
So the new location offers them the space they need to meet today’s demand as well as future growth.
The biggest reason for their success and need to move into a larger location is their amazing sandwiches and other food items on their focused menu.
Absolutely their hot chicken cutlet sandwiches are incredible, as well as the cold hoagies and salads, but what has really gotten them onto everyone’s radar are the cheesesteaks!
Served in two sizes of 10 or 16 ounces, Brynn Bradley uses fresh shaved ribeye, with or without fried onions, on a seeded Liscio’s roll, and with your choice of cheese; Cooper sharp, American, provolone or whiz.
For my lunch I grabbed a 10oz cheese steak which at $12.50 is a pretty good deal. I think I’m kind of a big guy and I can eat some food… and the 10 oz cheese steak was a big sandwich for me. And if you have a big appetite, the 16 oz offer 60% more meat or just an extra 3 bucks.
I was deciding between Kraft Cheese Whiz or Cooper sharp… going with the counter person’s recommendation I went with Cooper Sharp.
It truly is a delicious cheesesteak prepared with the chopped rib eye, which coupled with the Liscio’s seeded roll… makes for a perfect tender cheese steak bite.
And a big bonus for also being able to buy a soda at the shop and sit at a comfortable booth and enjoy my lunch!
So respected are the Bryan Bradley cheesesteaks that famed food reporter Peter Genovese of NJ.com has consistently ranked them as one of the best cheesesteaks in the state, and for 2024 he has ranked them at #2!
Brynn Bradley is owned by Chef Matt Harnett and his wife Ashley. After a full career as a talented top chef in the Philadelphia area, Matt decided to move into his own restaurant…. With a simpler menu offering quality sandwiches, which he felt would connect with the more blue collar South Jersey neighborhoods along Route 45
Clearly their growth and accolades proves they are doing things right!
As I wrote back in May, the 2,600 square foot space gives Brynn Bradley the room to expand all aspects of their growing sandwich shop, with a larger kitchen, counter area and plenty of space for customer seating.
Another nice bonus to the Woodbury Heights location is the front all-glass windows which really helps open the space up to the outside, letting in plenty of light.
