A new car dealership has started taking shape on Route 42 in Turnersville, located between the Target store and Holman Ford.

Most recently used as a Penske Truck Rental, the new building will house an expanded Audi Dealership, which is apparently moving from down the road where it is currently located at the front of the large Automall complex.  The current building is half the size of the other dealerships in the complex, so needing more space is probably the driving factor for the new dealership.

Washington Township Planning Board minutes from last year only offer comments from a Penske Vice President as saying “Audi is the fastest growing brand in America”

The Automall complex consists of the following Penske dealerships: Toyota, Scion, Nissan, Chevrolet, Cadillac, BMW, Audi, Acura, Hyundai, Honda and a large collision repair facility.

With the Audi dealership moving out of the Automall, it seems it will leave the small dealership empty in the Automall, but one can only speculate that Penske will not leave it empty for long.

Looking at online maps, its clear to see that a benefit of owning so many dealership “buildings” is Penske can move dealerships around based on sales or other factors, as Cadillac, Scion and Audi have all apparently moved in recent years.

Recent press newswires list the Turnersville Audi location in the top 100 dealerships to work for.
