In early February, the Gloucester Premium Outlets welcomed a new store; a Friendly’s restaurant and ice cream shop. The new Friendly’s is located in the 300 building in a spot directly next to a small outdoor children’s play area, and Toys-R-Us is just a few stores down!
The restaurant sits on the end of it’s building, with large floor to ceiling windows in the front and wrapping around the corner.
It’s a bright red room with a large ice cream station along the edge in middle.
The menu features all of the delicious Friendly’s sandwiches, burgers and salads. And as mentioned, ice cream is prominently featured. They are definitely looking to entice casual outlet shoppers in to the restaurant for some delicious ice cream with an impressive looking ice cream station, but there is no outside service window. When it’s hot in the summer, you’ll appreciate going inside for the air conditioning!
The high top seating in the front, along the glass, makes for a great place to eat delicious ice cream while watching the goings-on in the outlet!
Prior to Friendly’s opening, the main food area of the center was the food court style offerings of the Market Hall building. This brings another needed option for shoppers.
