Supercharged Entertainment is proposing the development of an all-new construction multi-level indoor Go-Kart track and Entertainment facility for Cherry Hill at the Garden State Park Market Place retail complex.
This is the Wegmans/Home Depot shopping center on Route 70.
The almost 10-acre property for the indoor go-kart track facility is the undeveloped space to the left of the main Route 70 entrance, between the interior access road and the railroad tracks. This property was previously approved for an off-track race horse betting facility (betting facility is no longer being developed).

According to the public notice, the historic Garden State Park horse racetrack gatehouse that still stands along Route 70 will be preserved, with a small 1/3 acre parcel of land surrounding that gatehouse to be split off to its own property.
The developers are scheduled to appear before the Cherry Hill Zoning Board on March 20th at 7:00 PM.
At this point only the public notice is available online (and not the applicant documentation) so not all of the details are available for what will be included in the 89,000 square foot all-new construction building. Cherry Hill is excellent about making the application materials available online so I would expect they will be updating the Zoning Board Meeting page shortly.
The public notice does specifically call out the multi-level electric Go Kart track racing aspect, as well as an arcade.

A few miles away at the Moorestown Mall, another entertainment complex is expected at the former Lord & Taylor store which will also feature a multi-level indoor go-kart track and other entertainment aspects, including a bar and restaurant. (CourierPost)
Supercharged Entertainment
Supercharged Entertainment is the same company who a little more than a year ago opened an even larger Go-Kart facility in Edison NJ. That location is billed as the largest indoor climate controlled Go-Kart track in the world and gained considerable global interest for its exciting marketing campaigns such as one that flew a drone through the entire facility… which really showcased the impressive multi level indoor track.

That Edison located facility offers two different race tracks, gaming arcade, axe throwing, virtual reality, Drop and Twist Tower and even a restaurant with bar. That being said, it is not certain exactly what is to be included in the Cherry Hill location. The proposed Route 70 project will be significantly sized at 89,000 square feet, but that is about 42,000 square feet smaller than Edison so there could be differences between the facilities.
This project is moving through the Zoning Board as there are a few zoning related variances requested. The project will support an arcade which is prohibited in the “B4” zone that the property is defined as. Additionally, the project will not provide affordable housing units in the B4 zone where Zoning Code states it is a required component of proposed projects.
As mentioned there will be a subdivision also to create a .31 acre property “to preserve the lone remaining gatehouse from the former Garden State Park for historic preservation purposes related to Cherry Hill’s history”
