Paris Baguette is a multinational chain of bakery cafes selling cakes, pastries, bread, coffee, sandwiches and more… and they are coming to the popular Cherry Hill Garden State Park retail center (Wegmans).
They bill themselves as a “neighborhood bakery cafe” offering a large menu of freshly made items in a beautiful open cafe dining space which is perfect for casual visits with friends and family, or quietly catching up on work emails.
The Cherry Hill location will be located in the Nordstrom Rack building on the far right side, in the space which previously was home to a Liberty Travel Center. Sugar Factory is located directly across the street. Brown construction paper covers the windows of Paris Baguette space ahead of the start of the construction.
The star of the menu are their in-house bakery and pastry products featuring deliciously innovative cakes, tarts, sweets and pastries which are offered in numerous varieties… and in recent years they added a full line of mochi donuts which have proven to be very popular.
They also offer delicious coffees and beverages, as well as savory sandwiches which helps carry the brand into the lunchtime and later hours; offering pepperoni pizzetta, crab meat croquette, ham and cheese pastries and more!
The Cherry Hill location of Paris Baguette is being developed by franchisee Payal Shah of Pmpb Group, who has plans for several other South Jersey locations… as well as Delaware, Georgia and Florida.
A recently announced location in Moorestown is through a different franchise organization but will bring the same high-quality food and beverages, in a comfortable neighborhood cafe vibe. Popular Facebook “new thing” site A View From Evesham was the first to get the stories on both Moorestown and Cherry Hill.
Locally there are several locations opened in Philadelphia and while I have not visited them yet… I will be stopping over soon as I am very interested in checking them out!
Paris Baguette is a South Korean chain of bakery cafes with over 3,700 locations globally, and over 200 locations in the United states. The United states is seen as a key growth opportunity for the brand.
A 2022 article at Forbes.com calls out the plans for their expansion in the United states, along with a store redesign for its US locations to create what they call an immersive experience so the guests can see the bakers and cake makers preparing breads and pastries… a bakery practice they describe as “theater”
Construction for the Cherry Hill location is ramping up soon, and they expect to be open late August!
