KYU Ramen coming to former Sakura Spring location in Cherry HIll
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Its been more than a year since Sakura Spring in Heritage Plaza in Cherry Hill closed its doors.  The former location of the popular sushi and Asian restaurant has sat empty since then, but will soon have a new tenant, and it will be Asian themed as well.

While no date has been announced, KyuRamen will be opening a location there.  KyuRamen has 120 locations world wide, but only one in the United States, in Flushing, Queens.  The remainder of the restaurants are in Taiwan and Hong Kong.  Their website indicates they are currently in expansion mode, with new locations coming soon in California, Florida, Philadelphia and Boston.

According to their website, “the purpose of KYURAMEN is to let our general working class and student population enjoy the stress-free Ramen in a stress free environment.”  The inside of the restaurant has been completely emptied, so it will  probably be a few months until the grand opening.  (And for the long time Cherry Hill residents, when I was discussing this location with my father, I had to say “You know, where Ventura’s pizza was!”  We went to Ventura’s regularly in the 70s and 80s.  I loved Ventura’s!)
