Luna Rossa Turnersville Acquires Liquor License. Still BYOB For Now
Reading Time: < 1 minute

Confirming what we had previously heard but didn’t have enough solid evidence to post about, Washington Township’s Facebook page says that Luna Rossa Biagio Lamberti on the Black Horse Pike in Washington Township (Turnersville) New Jersey has acquired a “pocket” liquor license and will eventually be offering alcoholic beverages at the beloved eatery.

A pocket license is one owned by a private party but not in use at a business.  To be clear, right now they are still BYOB only, but they offer a selection of locally produced wines as part of the NJ Wine Growers program.

Management was not available at the time of this post to discuss details, so at this time we don’t know the timing or plans for the license in the restaurant.  A liquor license change must go before Council and be approved to make it official.

42Freeway ate at Luna Rossa several months ago, and I wonder if the restaurant will simply bring the license on board for service at the table, or will this mean a remodeling project will take place to build out a bar.

The Turnersville location sits amidst “Car Dealer Row” on the Black Horse Pike between the massive Turnersville Auto Mall and Turnersville Dodge/Jeep.

More information will come from 42Freeway as we learn it.
