The new First Watch Daytime Cafe on Egg Harbor Road in Sewell Washington Township is set to open February 15th!
It should prove to be a busy first day as it is President’s Day.. and also because its on 42Freeway. 🙂 We’ll be there for the opening!
The growing national restaurant chain is opening up next to the recently opened Chipotle. The shared building sits along Egg Harbor Road in front of the Acme Supermarket.
First Watch
We first told readers about First Watch back in August 2019.
Back then we described the daytime eatery as:
at First Watch, one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the U.S. While most locations open at 7 a.m. daily, it shuts its doors at 2:30 p.m., serving only breakfast and lunch—but not dinner. No wonder why it calls itself “The Daytime Café.”
A Cherry Hill location opened just a few years ago and when First Watch was looking for another premium location for a South Jersey restaurant… the chose Washington Township!
The menu has all the breakfast and lunch favorites, but all with that extra special high quality twist that Washington Township has been clamoring for.
Take the basic Traditional Breakfast of two eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast…
It not just eggs… but cage free eggs.
Toast? Whole grain artisan toast.
Potatoes.. delicately seasoned.
And you can even get Udi’s brand gluten free toast at no additional charge!
Other things that I randomly noticed on the menu.. just a sampling…
Floridian French Toast! Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl! Superfood Kale Salad! Avocado Toast! Ham and Gruyere Melt! Morning Meditation Fresh Juice!
You get what I’m saying? This simple breakfast and lunch cafe is in the fancy leagues. And they chose a home in Township!
But their signature dish has to be Million Dollar Bacon! Thick pieces of bacon cooked in brown sugar, spices, and syrup. It’s candied bacon but oh so much better. The bacon alone is worth the visit!
Note: The menu website page features alcohol beverages…. that is NOT part of the Sewell location offerings. It is something they are adding to other states.
