The Tesla Superchargers look almost ready to roll in the Deptford Mall parking lot. This is a larger 12 bay unit, and is located off of Boscov's... consider the space between Red Robin and Adelphia's. They are positioned not too far from the mall and at the edge of the interior parking area, but far enough away that there shouldn't be a worry for non Tesla cars parking there.
Continuing its impressive streak of new store announcements, Deptford scores another win with the planned opening of a Forman Mills store to be located in the former K-Mart location on Rt 41 and Clements Bridge Rd.
It’s a great location for the company, as it has become a high-traffic area since the opening of the new Walmart (and other stores) across the street. On the Forman Mills side of the road are AC Moore, Babies R Us, McDonalds and Boston Market.
It’s easy to see that discount shoppers will be working both sides of Clements Bridge Rd.
They are actively hiring for the store already, having held job fairs last week (and this week) and a post on a Facebook forum says the building today has a “We’re Hiring” sign in the window. An August article in the Burlington County Times states they were targeting a November opening… and I am not sure if that is still the goal.
The next job fair is Tuesday 10/28 at the Residence Inn on Hurffville Rd Deptford (Next to Uno’s). Runs from 9am-5pm.
They are definitely moving in high-gear with the Deptford location… but will they make the ever important Holiday Shopping season?
It appears work has started on the inside of the store as I saw trucks there on Sunday and people entering the building. Keeping in line with their low-cost theme, I don’t believe the store will need much updating so maybe a 2014 Holiday opening is possible? But as the owner says in the Burlington County Times article “Keep trucking, keep moving on”
