A Chipotle boom is taking place in the 42Freeway area, with another one proposed for Blackwood-Clementon Road, at the site of the former Denny's Restaurant. The Denny's building would be demolished to make way for a new building, which will have space for a future second retail client.
The new Dave & Busters building at the Gloucester Premium Outlets is in the process of finishing up the final construction details, and they have set a “Open to Public” date of December 7, 2020! They will be opening a hiring location next week, but right now the job postings are online!
The new 42Freeway area Dave & Busters will be located in a brand new free-standing building in the extended Gloucester Premium Outlet complex, directly next to Route 42. The location offers easy access from the major highway which connects to Routes 295, Philadelphia and more.
The original opening date was targeted for May 11, 2020 but this landed in the height of the initial Covid impacts, and final construction was halted and the date was delayed. A key factor in reopening was inside dining being approved for New Jersey.
Through the month of November they will be moving in all of the games, and the Dave & Busters crew will take over the building late November for final set-up and employee training!
Just this weekend (Oct 23rd) the Gloucester Outlet jobs for Dave & Busters were online! They list 10 different positions, and this link should take you directly to their official career listing page (click search when at the page).
We currently see 10 opportunities being offered:
- Captain – Customer Service
- Winner’s Circle – Customer Service
- Front Desk/Host
- Support Technician
- Service Support – Busser
- Line Cook
- Janitorial Maintenance
What is Dave & Busters
If somehow you aren’t familiar with Dave & Buster’s, despite one of their largest “Flagship” locations being located in Philadelphia on the Delaware river since 1994… Dave & Buster’s is a restaurant and bar which extensively features entertainment options centered around a large arcade area and typically a billiard area. But this is not the arcade we remember from the 90s. Yes D&B has the latest seemingly traditional games but they really push the envelope in having the latest gaming technology options both in arcade games and “win tickets for prizes” games.
It’s absolutely “fun for everyone” but D&B presents it all in a way that makes everyone comfortable. The bar will be just as comfortable to a group of guys watching they World Series as it is when they come back with their families to have dinner and play arcade games.
We’ve followed this new exciting development even before it was public, going back to May 2018!
Just this past Saturday, a new Round 1 location opened at the nearby Deptford Mall. We stopped in for a quick walkthrough of that location, which takes a portion of the upper level of the old Sears building. We have photos and a video walkthrough here.
