An alert reader pointed us to a new Dollar General being developed within the existing Commerce Plaza on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township. The location is the more recently remodeled strip mall behind TD Bank and Dunkin Donuts (Lumpy's BBQ is also located there). Dollar General will occupy the right side of the building, which has an angled corner entrance,

An express car wash is being planned for Cross Keys Rd where it intersects with New Brooklyn Erial Road. This is a second planned car wash on Cross Keys Rd. The listed street address will be 810 New Brooklyn-Erial Road. This project is also being reviewed in the Gloucester Township Zoning Board meeting on July 8th (the same day this article has been posted).
Wawa is planning another Gloucester Township location, this time in Erial. They will appear before the Zoning board regarding their desire to develop a store on a corner site of a currently a closed bank building. The new Super Wawa (with gas) will also take over the properties of 3 homes directly behind the bank building. The Zoning Board meeting is Wednesday July 8th.
On Monday June 15th, New Jersey food and drink establishments are allowed to offer outside dining for their customers! Not all restaurants, breweries or wineries are supporting outside dining, and some are starting up delayed... so I started putting together a list of who is supporting outside dining, and a link to an associated Facebook post. I plan on updating this list as more information comes in.
In tonight's Gloucester Township Planning Board, the Commerce Plaza II shopping center owners appeared asking to split the tax lots for the property, making the larger multi-unit building in the back (with parking lot) its own tax lot. The reason for this is Giant Fitness is interested in developing a new gym in that larger building, and it is their preference to own the property! But what about LIDL?!
